「余仁生」(Eu Yan Sang) は広東省仏山出身の余廣により，漢方薬店としてマレー半島のぺラ州ゴペンで1879年に創業された。1897年，長子の余東�が事業を継承し，南洋華僑社会でも屈指の薬業業者に成長する。支店網は海峡植民地・マラヤ各地に拡大し，1909年には香港支店，1910年代には広州や仏山など広東各地に支店を開設した。

余仁生は1879年創業、100年以上の歴史を誇る漢方サプリメントの専門メーカーです。余仁生(国際)は2000年シンガポールに上場、2001年にISO9001国際品質管理の認証、1997年、2002年及び2006年にマレーシア、オーストラリア、香港の「優良薬品作業規範」GMPを取得、余仁生のマレーシア工場、香港の工場はともに最先端の設備を持ち、最高水準の漢方薬を製造しています。

Eu Yan Sang was founded in 1879 with the mission of "Caring for Mankind" (仁泽众生), and has been listed on the Singapore Exchange as Eu Yan Sang International Limited since 28 July 2000.

As a progressive, global healthcare company with a strong foundation in Traditional Chinese Medicine, we manufacture and retail traditional Chinese medicine and herbs in Hong Kong, Macau, China, Malaysia and Singapore. We also operate clinic services in Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia.

We have come a long way from our humble beginnings, when TCM remedies were offered to tin mine coolies in Gopeng, Perak, Malaysia 130 years ago. Today, Eu Yan Sang is a household name in Asia, recognised by many as the trusted brand of the TCM industry.

Superior TCM Products

Eu Yan Sang is committed to giving consumers only superior TCM products.

We market fine quality Chinese herbs, Chinese Proprietary Medicines, as well as health foods and supplements, offering more than 300 products under the Eu Yan Sang brand name and over 1,000 different types of Chinese herbs and other medicinal products.

To boost and maintain the standard of our products, our manufacturing activities are carried out in two of our GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) - certified factories located in Hong Kong and Malaysia. Our Hong Kong facility in Yuen Long, is also TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration)-certified.

We have developed the “Eu Yan Sang Good Agronomic Practices for Herbs (EYSGAP-Herbs) Certification Scheme” - the world’s first safety control scheme for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Herbs to ensure world leading standards are maintained at all stages of growing, processing and retailing of TCM herbs.

To complement the new standard, Eu Yan Sang is also developing a world first integrated online portal to keep track of TCM herbs throughout the value chain, known as “Integrated Good Agronomic Practices for TCM Electronic System” –(iGATES).

Eu Yan Sang products can be easily purchased in Asia because of our extensive distribution network, comprising over 150 Eu Yan Sang branded retail outlets in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Macau and China. Our products are available in thousands of drugstores, pharmacies, medical halls, supermarkets, convenience stores, hospitals, health clubs and spas worldwide.

Eu Yan Sang also provides a holistic approach in healthcare practices. Through our extensive chain of specialist centres, general TCM clinics, lifestyle clinics and integrative medicine centre we emphasize on the natural, preventive approach to offer maximum benefit to our customers. Today, we operate a chain of 20 TCM clinics in Singapore and Malaysia and one Integrative Medicine Centre in Hong Kong.

History

In our journey from a small, homegrown business to a public listed company with global ambitions, our values remain constant and unchanging. They are as relevant today as they were in the past. This is our heritage.

The Beginnings: Eu Kong

It all began in 1873 when Eu Kong left his hometown of Foshan, a village in Guangdong province of southern China, to seek his fortune in Malaya. The industrious young man settled down in the small mining town of Gopeng, Perak.

Noticing that the tin mine workers depended on opium to alleviate the pain and suffering from hard work and poor living conditions, he introduced traditional Chinese herbal remedies to nurse their health. This led to the opening of the first Yan Sang shop in 1879.

The shop Eu Kong founded, was made up of the words "Yan" (仁) "Sang" (生). The former means benevolent, kind or humane in the Cantonese dialect, while the latter represents birth, life or livelihood.

"Yan Sang" (仁生) literally means caring for mankind.

Eu Tong Sen

Eu Kong's eldest son, Eu Tong Sen grew up dedicating himself to the family business, and to realising his father's goal. With determination and astute foresight, Eu Tong Sen very quickly established himself in Malaya and Singapore, and became a leading figure in tin mining and rubber plantation businesses.

Eventually, Eu Tong Sen expanded Eu Yan Sang's business to Hong Kong and China.

Besides tending to the business, it was evident that Eu Tong Sen fully supported the philosophy his business had been grounded upon – caring for mankind. He would often donate generously to the poor and needy, and was ever ready to support the growth of education in the region.

Eu Yan Sang has been enjoying continuous growth for years because we remain true to the original philosophy and tradition of caring for mankind.

起源：余廣

1873年，余廣離開自己的家鄉，從中國廣東佛山來到馬來亞尋求發展。他後來在霹靂州的一個錫礦小鎮務邊定居。

當時鴉片泛濫成災，當地錫礦工人長期藉鴉片逃避艱苦工作和惡劣環境。余廣決心以中藥解救礦工，1879年在務邊開設第一家藥鋪。

余廣將藥鋪取名為"仁生"，"仁" 代表了"仁愛，仁慈"；生既是 "生命，眾生"的意思。"仁生"，意即"仁澤眾生"。

第二代：余東旋

余廣的長子余東旋繼承父業後，憑著敏銳的判斷力和獨到的眼光，迅速在新加坡和馬來亞商界打響名堂。他不但將中藥業務發揚光大，更是當時錫礦及橡膠種植業的佼佼者。

後來，余東旋更進一步擴展余仁生的業務，將銷售網絡延伸到香港及中國。

積極拓展業務之際，余東旋在每個業務據點都身體力行，實踐"仁澤眾生"的精神。他熱心公益，常以不同形式幫助貧困弱勢，並資助當地的教育事業發展。

及後，余仁生堅守先輩倡導的信念，將昔日的小鎮藥舖發展成今時今日的國際中藥企業。我們將優良傳統發揚光大，在推動傳統中藥業發展的同時，致力關懷眾生。
